The transom flaps on my FRP Heron let in water; it seems the material they are made of is too thin, so they always distort. I don't know what material it should be to replace them or how thick it should be.

But I was also wondering if it's feasible to get the transom flaps filled in and just getting a bunghole for drainage. There are no self-bailers but I never use them anyway. Is there any problem with getting the flap(holes) filled in - class specifications, EU regulations or just practical?
Regards,
Brian
