Calum: We hope you enjoyed your short visit to Kinvara and that despite the 1 day postponement to the start of the race that you made your ferry back home in the end. Reasonable enough turnout on the day although another 4-5 boats would have been nice given the wonderful sailing conditions that afternoon. Talk between the members is that we should run the Open race in conjunction with 'Cruinniu na mBad' (our traditional boat sailing festival held each August.) That usually falls around the middle of August but the date is not set until the charts are out to ensure the best tides are available for the traditional boat races throughout the weekend. Best wishes with your new boat.

Hi Chris,

Just realised the upgraded forum software doesn't support subscribe to categories so wondering why I hadn't had any emails for a while! OOPS!

Anyway - Race was great and we are slowly tuning down the new boat. So standby for next year.

We would absolutely love to come over for Cru n'am Bad - infact we even considered not doing the open and just turning up in August

Only thing would be how reliable is your weather then?

Weather in August is as likely to be as good as June or July. Could see no wind or could see gale force. Water would be warmer.
