Dave Butler, from Butler Boats, unveiled the FRP-Wood composite heron at the Heron Nationals in September 2006.  This magnificant craft aims toprovide all the advantages of maintaing an FRP (Foam Re-inforced Plastic) Hull without compromising on the elligance of a varnished wooden deck.  Dave has provided this short Photographic Series to help association members understand the construction process used. We start off with a bare foam sandwich hull braced across the Boat before it is released from the mould so it keeps its shape For measurement .
